Happy Late Birthday!

Brigitte Bardot was flawless.
Although cat eyes, messy hair and big lips have always been my style,
lately I've taken it to a whooole new level to achieve her marvelous look.
How to recreate her style:
MAKEUP: For fabulous cat eyes that don't look messy or just plain ugly, use a liquid liner. I suggest Liquidlast Liner in Point Black by MAC, I use this and I love it! It stays on for forever and it's waterproof, and the thin brush is perfect for making a cat eye.

1. Apply a thin line of liner along your top lash line. As you reach the outer corner, begin to sweep the line upwards and outwards, towards your temple/the end of your eyebrow. Allow line to dry.
2. Start right at the outer corner, and draw a line upwards to meet the end of the line you just drew. Make sure the line is tapered so it ends in a point.
3. Fill in the space between the two lines with the liner.
4. If you want, go back over the thin line you drew along the top lash line to make it thicker and more dramatic. MAKE SURE LINER IS COMPLETELY DRY before you open your eye or risk messing it up and getting black lines at the top of your eyelids!!
5. If you wish, apply just a bit of liner (I suggest gel liner in a pot, like MAC's fluidline) with a small brush to make the eyes look a bit more dramatic. Also, to enhance the Brigitte Bardot look, blend a gray eyeshadow into the crease of your eyelid.
Eyelashes: Long lashes are a big part of the Brigitte Bardot look. I suggest first curling the lashes, then apply many coats of mascara. To enhance the cat eye, apply more mascara to the lashes on the outer corner, or buy individual or small-banded lashes to apply there.

Lips: Brigitte had wonderful lips! If you're a person who was not blessed with lips like hers, (as many of us weren't) use a lip plumper to get them just a bit more plump.
1. Line lips with a nude lip liner pencil, like Subculture or Summer Fruit, both by MAC. Try to use the liner to make lips look bigger, apply more near the corners. If you look up close at a picture of Marilyn Monroe, you'll see she lined her lips a lot near the corners to get fuller lips.
2. Using a brush, apply a nude, peachy lipstick, like Ramblin' Rose or Sandy B, both by MAC.

HAIR: For Brigitte's tousled, messy, yet put together look, you'll need a big roller brush, blow drier, large rollers, mousse, hairspray, It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product, and It's a 10 Miracle Shine Spray. If you have thin/fine/flat hair, you might want volumizing mousse.

1. Wash hair with shampoo that fits your hair type- for thin hair, use a volumizing shampoo, for dry/coarse hair, use a moisturizing shampoo with a deep conditioner.
2. Towel dry hair, and spray It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product all over hair. Also tousle a bit of mousse around in hair.
2. Blow dry hair in sections using the roller brush. Don't blow dry hair completely- just until it's mostly dry but still a bit damp.
3. Put large sections of hair into large rollers, spray with just a bit of hairspray, and set till your hair is completely dry.

4. Take out rollers. Flip your head over and tousle hair, then flip your head back up. If you have flat hair, you might want to tease it a bit.
5. Spray hair all through with just a bit of hairspray, then spray hair with It's a 10 Miracle Shine Spray for shine and control. If you want, tease hair at the top for an even more Brigitte look.
