Baby Bloom

MAC's early summer collection Baby Bloom is full of lip tints that have SPF 20 to protect lips from the sun and moisture tints that have SPF15 to protect skin. I love the hues of lip colors- from light pinks to gold-yellow and plum. The best thing is they don't give a dark color, they're very sheer and light for summer! I like the moisture tints too, I hate wearing foundation on summer days when I'm outdoors and need to wear sunscreen, since it winds up smearing. These are great because it's a moisturizer with a tint to give coverage!

Dazzlelash

MAC lashes are the best! They have always been my big obsession. They almost always give an Edie Sedgwick flair. If I could only wear one type of makeup for the rest of my life it would be lashes!

My nails are painted MAC's Shirelle for the weekend. I'm off to Boston & Cape Cod/Provincetown for the rest of the week!

Sunrise

Yesterday we saw this play called Crazy For You in this little theater in Rhode Island. It's by Gershwin and it's basically a whole bunch of songs from other plays. It was really interesting, though! I loved all of the dancing.
By the time we got back home, we saw some late night fireworks over the river, and I met up with a few old friends, and we had some interesting adventures, dealing with binoculars and underwear and getting lost...
I headed home with another friend really late, but while we were walking, we heard birds singing, so we decided to go down to the Park and watch the sunrise. I just love sunrises, especially in Central Park! I think they're so much better than sunsets!

The New Face of Burberry

I received the August issue of Vogue today and there were ads from the fall/winter collection of Burberry and Emma Watson was the model! She's another British model like Kate Moss, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Georgia Frost to model for Burberry. I like how they use British models because their designs are very London-y. I read a few weeks ago that she would be modeling for them, and the prints are finally out! I'm so glad she's showing her fashion side. I never noticed how gorgeous she is

and I heard she's going to be in a Bertolucci film??

Warped Tour 2009!

A few days ago I went to Warped Tour, this year in Connecticut. It definitely wasn't as good as last year's, probably because this year felt so short! :( I still wanted to see a lot of other bands, but there are so many bands playing around the same time that it's so hard to see all the ones you want to!
This year we saw...

A Day To Remember

Bad Religion

Meg & Dia! We were right up at the barricade

Breathe Carolina

Millionaires!

A Skylit Drive

After Midnight Project

We met the lead singer too, he was like a whole two feet taller than me!

Jeffree Star!

We got the chance to meet him after, he was practically mauled over.

Styleee

Here's something my friend tagged me to do:

How would you define your style?
I like girly. I definitely dress feminine, sometimes vintage. I'm short, so I like size-short skinny jeans and short sundresses. Floral prints, big necklaces, big bags, flats and super high heels, and black tights are my favorite. Kind of like Taylor Momsen and Blair Waldorf and Edie Sedgwick and Audrey Hepburn mixed together.

What is your favorite item of clothing EVER?
A dress I bought from H&M last summer! It's a 1950's -style dress, with a flared out skirt, and when I spin around it twirls all the way out! It's red with white polka dots and white buttons down the back.

What is said favorite item of clothing most suited to (e.g. sailing the seven seas as a free-booting buccaneer, a street carnival in Rio, afternoon tea at the Ritz?
A summer day in Provincetown or Marseilles!

Who are your style icons?
I just ADORE Audrey Kitching, Edie Sedgwick, Taylor Momsen, Audrey Hepburn, & Marilyn Monroe's styles!

Which song should have been written for you?
There's two- Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany's, sung by Audrey Hepburn, for my big-dreamer, I want more out of life side. The other is I Heard It Through the Grapevine by the Slits for my passion & party side. It's feminine, spunky, glamorous, and I love dancing to it!

What is your favorite fairy-tale?
Beauty & the Beast! I was in a production of it recently (I was a silly girl, they will always be my favorite). I like the idea of escaping a small life and finding something bigger.

What is your favorite word?
Believe, or mermaid.

Dream trolley dash locations?
FRANCE, Greece, Switzerland

Dream location for your future Vogue photoshoot?
New York City, why would I ever go anywhere else?! But maybe Versailles, or another French location.

If you could hire one fashion designer as your personal tailor, who would it be?
CHANEL! I know that probably totally sounds overrated, but I simply worship Chanel! It's classy, feminine, dreamy, slightly vintage, and it captures the utmost glamour.

Signature scent?
Chanel No. 5 and Heiress by Paris Hilton.

Which era would you most like to live in?
The 1920-30's flapper/vaudeville era, the 1950's Golden Age Hollywood era, or the 1960 pop-art era!

Most recent purchase?
A shirt from Forever 21

A tough one... if you were a food what would you be?
Over the top decadent desserts!

And, finally- who is the love of your life (so far)?
New York City!

Kitchen

I finished reading Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto the other night. It's a really good book; It's about love, family, death, healing, the power of the kitchen, the memories we make, and how you find family in unexpected places when you think you have no one left. I recommend it to everyone, especially those who have ever lost anyone. It's a short and sweet little book but it gives a strong message, it was easy for me to relate to it because I've lost people who mean a lot to me; it was easy to understand where she was coming from. And I love her style of writing!

Marc Jacobs!!!!!

This is from forever ago but I recently came across these pictures- I love Marc Jacob's spring/summer 2009 collection. It's elegant with a 1940's flair. I love the fitted dresses, metallic numbers, silky materials, and all of the PRINTS! I would kill to attend a Marc Jacob's fashion show! If I could I would probably have closets full of him

This is one of my favorites, I love the earrings and the color!

This is another one I love

The shoes were so glamorous
